The title says it all. I had the inCase slider case on my iPhone when, a little while back, I dropped it while getting onto an elevator. It bounced once and then fell right through the gap between the doors, and down 2 stories to the bottom of the elevator shaft, the bottom of which was solid concrete.

I figured there was no way it would have survived a fall like that. But sure enough, grabbed my wife's cell phone and called my number, and there it was, ringing 20 feet below me! With some help, I retrieved it... the case had a tiny flattened-out spot on one of the corners, but otherwise was in perfect condition, and the iPhone itself was as good as new. Not a scratch!!

So, I can't recommend this case highly enough. It's extremely slim-line, comfortable to hold, looks good, and does its job really well.

I didn't purchase this case from here, but from the Apple store.
I first had the black one, as they didn't have the white one in stock.
The black one cracked within the 14 days, so I returned it, and got the white one.
The white one is so much better.
My phone looks soo much better!
The white one doesn't show scratches, or finger prints as much as the black.
I'm a clean freak on my iPhone, and I haven't cleaned my white Incase Slider in weeks.
I found myself cleaning the black case constantly, scratching it even more.
I suggest you getting the white over the black.
And, when I upgrade to my iPhone 3G S in December, I'll be sure to get this case for it.

I recently dropped my iPhone in a parking lot when I bumped my shirt pocket and it launched out onto the ground. Luckily I had been using a cheap, snap-on rear shell, and it landed square on the back. If it had landed on the face, that would have been the end the story. So I decided to get a better case....

I just bought one of these Incase Sliders for my iPhone. YES, it is seemingly expensive for just a couple of pieces of plastic, but I try to think of it as insurance against damage rather than a case.

This case is slim, very solid and snug fitting, and should help the iPhone survive most drops, hopefully even on its face. The bottom shell pulls off to allow the iPhone to fit into a dock. To do this, you have to give it a pretty good pull downwards. I think I'll just be plugging my cable in most of the time though, for fear of losing or breaking the bottom section with repeated removing.

Oh, I love the glossy black finish. Not only does this help it slide into a pocket with ease (unlike some silicone cases), it also makes it look like Darth Vader's iPhone. -- Excellent Low Profile, Solid Case

Yes, that first silicon case that had a similar form factor that they put out was crap. I bought it and it fell apart in around 2 months. I never thought I would buy another inCase product. My partner bought this one and so I checked it out. It is great. Super snug, low profile, and will never come apart accidentally. Nice glossy black finish. If you are looking for a hard case, this is the best I've found.
